The Big Race

The Race is on. Greg (with Andrew) on the far top left. Matt (with Jake) third from left.

The Jones boys take a definitive lead.

A clear winner...

A graceful finish...

Dutch Wonderland

Big multi-family outing to Dutch Wonderland. Tickets - expensive; one adult on a ride with 6 kids - priceless.

Telecommuting, Maine-style

I'm sitting in Cafe Creme in Bath - worrying (not so much) about my two-hour parking spot on Front Street - and cranking through about three hours of work. I'll be able to do this three days this week - and then I'm done working through the week of the 4th. I love modern technology and high gas prices.

No beard

Just found this picture from my birthday party in September 1999. That's Lydia at five months old and my friend, Brent Bradley, when he was still young and full of vigor. From time to time I consider shaving my beard. Photos like this one convince me that I've made the right choice.

Partying like it's 1999.

Monopoly, baby. Monopoly

Introduced the kids to Monopoly last night. What a great game! The kids grabbed the concept very easily and I had no problem explaining the rules. It was a wonderful little lesson in capitalism. Here are some photos:

Lydia's about to pay Jake $25. It feels good to get paid, baby.

"The more railroads you own, the more you get to charge people for using them!"

Jake lands on Luxury Tax. There's no getting around the taxman, kiddos.

Gabriella

I am having a very good day. No, nothing new at work (actually a bit crazy with no end in sight). No, nothing new with the kids (actually pretty late getting Lydia to camp this morning). No, nothing new with activities (actually neglected to run yesterday). But today is great.

Why?

Gabriella is coming today. She does this, so that I can do this and Matt can do this. It brightens my whole day. Thank you, Mom, for sending her to us this week!
